The Person and the Persona

The Person:

Born in June of 1967, in Dallas Tx.  I am told that there were numerous complications with my coming into the world.  Well lucky for me, I managed past all that, through a sickly early childhood to a pretty much normal adolescence to where I am now.  Sure, there are bumps along the way, but that is true for most all of us.

Thirty some-odd years later, I can say that I am divorced with three kids, happily remarried and work in a decent paying job, that I am really not fond of.   All through my life I have liked to draw...and at risk of sounding vain...I have a natural talent for it that runs in the family.  This creative trait has flowed into writing on and off as well as the original works you will find on other pages here.

I really have no clue what else to put here...partly cause I do not, as a rule, give out my life's secrets openly.  So...you wanna learn??  Find me out there.

 

 
The Persona:

Created in 1989 for a Dungeons & Dragons group, Korbin developed frighteningly fast and frighteningly well.  So, I continued to use the character in a few writings and found that "he" did actually have a personality and all that stuff that makes most people wonder if I should be committed.

When it came time to figure out a name to use online...it was only natural to take on the name Korbin.  For years I have retained that name.  Going from the PnP, to just fartin' about online, to MUDs, to the former Skullport.com all the way to establishing him with in some NeverWinter Nights servers. 

In the RPG environments I have put him (and myself) in, the character continues to develop...not only is this great amusement for me, but it also makes for more interesting stories to make as well.

Corinthar Gofaritar was born sometime before the 25th of Elient, in the Year of the Quiet Earth, 1161 D.R.  This day was his time of his Naming rites.

It was the day after this that the raid came, a large band of Gnolls led by Red Wizards attacked, seeking Elvin artifacts.  In this attack the child's Human uncle fled with the child when there was no hope left of saving the small township.

Dulin raised the child as his own, using magic to extend his life to do so.  He taught the Elvin boy using his monies from adventuring, sparing no expense in his education and training.  It was during this time Corinthar took up the name Korbin Deathstalker.

After Dulin's death Korbin took to wandering the lands, learning what he could and seeing what there was to see.

His travels have taken him to many places across the expanses of Faerun and even into the upper reaches of the Underdark and the dark trade city of Skullport.  He currently resides in the Dales area, roaming the area around Myth Drannor.
