Born in 1967, E. M. Daugherty has had a lifelong interest in creativity of all forms. "It runs in the family" His mother was one of the members of the Starving Artist's Guild of Dallas, and has numerous works displayed in companies and colleges. His sister also practices many mediums, including paints and stained glass. He began sketching very early in life and began writing fantasy fiction as a pastime around the age of 15. He added web design and graphics to his list of creative fetishes in 1998 and is still practicing them without any formal training or schooling.
